The Haden brand has a rich history, with over 150 years of experience in manufacturing. Originally a bicycle-making business A.H. Haden Motorcycles in Hockley, Birmingham, started in the late 1880s. In the Early 1990s, New Comet motorcycles designed and produced from 1905 to 1931, by Alfred Hamlet Haden. Alfred's sons Donald William Haden and Denis Howard Haden, took over the business after 1937. It then became "Haden Bros.", and made tank parts for the military during the Second World War. They continued to be well known for making cycle and motorcycle parts, and these were sold worldwide. In 1958 Denis Howard Haden founded his own separate company D.H. Haden Ltd. to manufacture electric kettles and HADEN was born. Haden continued to manufacture Kettles in different locations in the UK including Lichfield, Central England, until 2001. Haden pioneered in making the electric kettle safe for households also produced the first commercial cordless kettle that would change the way we make a cup of tea forever.
